Student Loans, Grants, Scholarships
EPA established the
National Network for Environmental
Management Studies (NNEMS)
in 1986 to foster a growing
interest
among higher education students in environmental
careers. The
NNEMS program is a comprehensive fellowship
program that
provides undergraduate and graduate students an
opportunity to
participate in a fellowship project that is directly
related to their field
of study. The NNEMS program is sponsored
by EPA's Office of
Environmental Education.
Students who are awarded NNEMS fellowships are offered a
unique
opportunity to gain research and training experience
directly linked
to their undergraduate or graduate studies.
NNEMS fellows conduct
research projects to augment their
academic studies, which EPA
supports with financial
assistance.
EPA has awarded approximately 1,370 fellowships under this
program and awarded 26 fellowships in 2005.
Jacob K. Javits Fellowships Program
http://www.ed.gov/programs/jacobjavits/index.html
The program provides financial assistance to students who
have
demonstrated:
1) superior academic ability and achievement; 2) exceptional
promise; 3) financial need to undertake graduate study leading
to a
doctoral degree or a master's degree in which the master's
degree is
the terminal highest degree in the selected field of
study.
The Department of Education awards fellowships in selected
fields of
study of the arts, humanities and social sciences.
Panels of experts appointed by the Javits Fellowship Board
(Board)
select fellows according to criteria established by the
Board.
Students must demonstrate financial need by filing the
Free
Application for Federal Student Aid
. The
selected fields of
study
supported by the Javits Fellowship Program are available
for your
review.

Federal Pell Grant Program
http://www.ed.gov/programs/fpg/index.html
CFDA Number : 84.063
Purpose:
The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to
low-
income undergraduate and certain postbaccalaureate
students to
promote access to postsecondary education.
Students may use their
grants at any one of approximately
6,000 participating postsecondary
institutions. Grant amounts
are dependent on the student's expected
family contribution
(EFC) (see below), the cost of attending the
institution, whether
the student attends full-time or part-time, and
whether the
student attends for a full academic year or less. Students
may
not receive Federal Pell Grant funds from more than one school
at a time.
This is a list of about 500 results for anyone interested in
postsecondary or international education, or graduate
programs. In
my search to find updates I came across this. I
didn't want to leave
any of them out as there are so many. Good
luck in your search.
